Plural

 How to form plural?


1) a singular noun +s => plural
a pen = pens
a play = plays

2) consonant + y => IES
a cherry => cherries
a baby => babies

PS! vowel + y => YS
a toy => toys 

3) -sh, -ch, -tch, -s, -ss, -x => ES
a brush => brushes
a church => churches
a box => boxes
a dress => dresses

4) -f, -fe => VES 
a shelf => shelves
a wife => wives

PS! Kui f-tähega lõppeva sõna mitmust hääldad ka "f"-tähega, nagu näiteks roofs, siis järgi reeglit nr 1. 

5) -o => ES
     -o => S

a tomato => tomatoes
a zero => zeros

6) Irregular nouns - No plural
a sheep => sheep
a deer => deer
a fish => fish

7) Irregular nouns - different plural forms
