Capital Letters

 1) The first letter of the sentence / at the beginning of the sentences (The school is ..)

2) the personal pronouns I (mina) (Where did I get here?)

3) the names of people (Julia Maria Smith)

4) the names of places: towns (Rapla), street names (22 Park Lane), villages (Käbiküla), countries (Estonia), continents (Asia), theatres (Prince Edward Theatre), restaurants (the White Swan), companies (New Balance), planets (Mars) etc. ...

5) days (Monday)

6) months (May)

7) languages (German)

8) nationalities (Swedish)

9) national holidays ( New Year's Eve)

10) titles (Mrs, Doctor Hill)

11) to show respect, family members + name (Mum, Uncle Tom)

12) the names of books (the Wizard of Oz), films (the Pirates of the Carribean) and songs  PS! You do not need to use the capital letter with prepositions and articles)

13) directions if they are geographical regions (South-East Asia) 

14) abbreviations (DVD)
